Hi, I'm Sierra Robinson and I'm a Menswear Designer.
I am currently an Associate Designer for Original Penguin, where I have spent the past two years serving as a designer for both the mainline and value channel collections, with a focus on knits and sweaters. I bring strong sweater expertise - from developing specialty stitches, yarns, and CAD artwork to overseeing design execution across categories. I’ve excelled in 3D design applications - using Browzwear and VStitcher to create fully realized, three-dimensional garments that support design storytelling.
Previously, I spent over three years as a Lead Designer at Abercrombie & Fitch, designing luxury menswear across wovens, swim, and accessories while leading capsule collections and mentoring interns. With a keen eye for detail, I understand the balance between branding, design aesthetics, and technical capabilities needed to elevate a collection.
I am a collaborative, detail-driven designer - passionate for creating thoughtful menswear emphasizing storytelling and brand identity.
I’m based out of Brooklyn, New York.

BECOMING
SIR
ROBINSON

Fashion is my storytelling device.
What we choose to wear is never accidental.
It is psychological, instinctive —our quiet introduction to the world before we ever speak. Clothing signals belonging, protection and transformation. It moves across communities as a language we all understand.
I believe menswear should challenge the norm — it should captivate, provoke, and question tradition. My design ethos is rooted in curiosity and disruption, in challenging the conventional and dissolving the lines that attempt to define identity. By rejecting labels, I'm drawn to aesthetics that are self-aware, a little cheeky, deeply intentional, and unapologetically queer.
As a personal designer, my work is always created through a Black lens.
Our stories are my "why."
As a Black woman designing menswear, my perspective is both personal and political. Black stories— our histories, our humor, our complexities — are my constant inspirations. I aim to tell complex, layered design narratives that reflect lived Black experiences with authenticity and forethought.
I design to honor us, to reflect us, and to imagine us beyond expectations.
